Really struggling with my Plex Server at the moment and in particular in the way it handles and resolves the episodes contained in Season 19 (1982) and the Specials for Top of the Pops (UK). For reasons that aren't immediately obvious, whenever the Plex server refreshes the metadata on this series when a new file is added to the collection it cannot seem to handle the episodes in either of these folders. So all my specials are saved as S00EXX and Season 19 episode as S19EXX. Plex seems unable to handle this just on these two series and either groups some of the specials into Season 19 or vice versa, or worst of all, removes both series from the interface as if they didn't exist.
I've checked and double checked all of my file names in case of typo or duplication and they all check out. I've reset the Plex folders, moved them across HDDs (and back again) and refreshed the metadata and rescanned the folders. Occasionally the correct sequencing is observed and displays as I would expect it to and then almost immediately reverts back to the state described above.
Has anybody experienced anything similar with this or other series and have any suggestions on how to resolve?
My files in this collection cover around 270 episodes from 1981 to 1987 and a series of specials but my Plex front end routinely suggests only 205 episodes are available.
Thanks in anticipation of any help you might be able to provide.

Actually, hang on. I might have cracked it. I simply added the brackets (1964) to the folder name to reflect the TVDB entry and it seems to be ok and fairly stable for now. I may be back.
No, it's done it again. After seemingly a couple of days of everything being fine it's removed season 19 and all the specials entirely from the Plex client. All files are still there on the HDD and in correct naming conventions. No ideas any more. Anyone?
