The Hallmark series Martha's Vineyard Mysteries has been deleted from the tvdb; the id of the series was 373308. See https://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries.com/mysteries

I wondered why this was the case. I realise it may be a bit of a grey area with whether this should be treated as a series or movies; however there are plenty of other Hallmark Mystery Movie series that are still there.

The two movies are listed as https://www.thetvdb.com/movies/a-beauti ... rd-mystery and https://www.thetvdb.com/movies/riddled- ... rd-mystery

Examples of other Hallmark Mystery Movie Series:

https://www.thetvdb.com/series/matchmaker-mysteries
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/picture- ... -mysteries
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/gourmet-detective

Can this series be reinstated?

These series should really all be deleted, and they should all be added as separate movies. It's like if we made all of the Harry Potter movies into one series record — that is not allowed. These should all be added as separate movies. In the very near future, we will have the ability to group these movies together into a list/franchise. If you want to add the movies to the system so that we can remove the series, that would be awesome. Additionally, you can post the URLs for the movies here, and we can use them to test the new lists/franchise feature :)

I don't think this is the same thing as the Harry Potter movies. They were made for the cinema whereas the Hallmark Mysteries are made for television.

Also; if you look at the Hallmark Mysteries website they are listed as "Picture Perfect Mysteries", "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries", "Match Maker Mysteries", "Ruby Herring Mysteries" etc. Additionally the website calls them "Mystery Movie Series". https://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries. ... vie-series

Admittedly the Martha's Vineyard Mysteries are shown as "Martha's Vineyard Mystery Movies" but I still think the principle is the same.

Further to Emily's message above, now that the Lists/Franchises feature has been released, I have created a list for the Martha's Vineyard movies, which includes both movies released so far.

OK; thanks.

The one thing that disappoints me with this approach is that all the Hallmark Mystery Movies had their own series and it was easy in Sonarr to see what you were missing or when new ones were being broadcast.

Now since they have disappeared from Sonarr this is no longer possible and you have to manually check on what is coming up. It is not as if in Kodi you can see what you are missing (unless I am missing something).

Can I presume you will now start to remove all the other series?

Yes, that is the plan.
And I understand your frustration, I do. But these movies should never have been entered in as series in the first place. I appreciate how having them listed singularly as standalone movies makes it impossible for you to know when a new installment in a given "movie series" is available, but unfortunately, that doesn't justify keeping records that go against our policy. Hopefully, in the future, as we continue to expand our support for movie franchises, third-party apps will follow suit and make it easier for movie fans to keep track of their favorite franchises.

Will you be covering the grand daddy of all these recent mystery movies; the original Mystery Movie series (Columbo, McCloud, McMillan and Wife, Banacek etc)?

If so; could you provide a list of what series you intend to delete?

There's no way for us to track these records down, so we're gonna start with the ones you referenced here:

https://www.thetvdb.com/series/picture- ... -mysteries
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/gourmet-detective

So if I had kept quiet; you'd have been none the wiser and the example series I referred to would have survived the cull.

We probably would have discovered them eventually, but essentially, yes.
