Ridiculousness - s14

Postby theraster » Tue Jun 11, 2019 9:42 pm

Ridiculousness - https://www.thetvdb.com/series/ridiculousness

looks like people keep adding episodes to s13 when it should be s14
https://www.mtv.ca/shows/ridiculousness/

s13e42 and onward should be moved to s14e01 etc

This is an American series so unfortunately MTV.ca cannot be used as a primary source. Furthermore I noticed when I worked on this series earlier that MTV.com and MTV.ca have conflicting information.

However, MTV.com is a big mess right now for the later seasons, and 14 is completely absent, with the last episode dating to May.

The other sources I'd use, such as TV Guide and Gracenote are also in conflict with themselves AND MTV.ca.

Hate to say this but wait until the dust settles.

The last episodes of Season 13 starting with 42 should be moved to a new Season 14. Episode 1401 is the Too Short episode listed as 1342 right now.

Wikipedia shows this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_R ... 19-present)

TV.com shows it as well but with a different starting episode.
http://www.tv.com/shows/ridiculousness/episodes/

I believe Wikipedia because that matches the season and episode numbers on my DVR.

It may be an American show, but mtv.ca is still MTV. I would think it should still be considered an official source. mtv.com doesn't show season 14 yet because they only stream some episodes, not all. epguides.com, TVmaze, and EpisoDate.com show the same season 14 listing. Season 11 and 12 also had 41-43 episodes, to think season 13 is on episode 53 is a little extreme. Hope someone can update this soon

Matched to TVGuide.com, one of our accepted sources.

But it also has errors maybe, since it skips episode 5. And it doesn't seem to agree with this screenshot of the schedule on MTV.com, where 1401's production code is assigned to our S13E45. Problem is it's hard to trust MTV.com's website due to how barren and messy it is.

This seems far from resolved IMHO. But I agree with all of you, Season 13 is over somewhere around here.

Hi there...I see it's a mess again :D

Noticed that a reliable source made an nfo titled "Ridiculousness.S14E01-E06.DiRFiX.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV".
"Fix for:
Ridiculousness.S13E42.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E01
Ridiculousness.S13E43.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E02
Ridiculousness.S13E44.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E03
Ridiculousness.S13E45.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E04
Ridiculousness.S13E46.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E05
Ridiculousness.S13E47.720p.HDTV.x264-YesTV --> S14E06

Fuck you, MTV. Sort your shit out."

And this site that also seems reliable, has the same list - http://epguides.com/Ridiculousness/ (which got mentioned elsewhere in this thread)

Hope this gets fixed on "our" fine site too :)

Looks like the series was updated to count S13E48 as S14E01

I'm inclined to agree. MTV Canada is still MTV, and I think it takes precedence in this case over TV Guide (which doesn't seem to be trustworthy for this show — their Season 13 starts with episode #20 "Kurt Busch") in the matter of divisions of seasons.
Maybe one of you can email MTV to try to get to the bottom of this?

I emailed MTV.com and received no reply. They don't seem interested in correcting their website either.
At this point whom do you trust except the secondary source?
I didn't use MTV.ca because they have different lists for the earlier seasons than MTV.com.
For example:
Season 4 has an episode numbering offset of one between MTV.com and MTV.ca
Season 5 has 20 episodes on MTV.com, 18 on MTV.ca (we have 18)
Season 7 is completely missing on MTV.ca
etc.
You just can't win. So I went with the secondary source because the official sites are conflicting and a mess (IMO.)

But if you feel you can make a better decision, go ahead.
