Forum rules
All requests to modify unlocked entries - with the exception of series titles - will immediately be marked Resolved.

Please read our rules and our series-specific information before posting.
Specials Guidelines are available here.
Please link to the series/episode page and your sources.
Wikipedia is a good starting point for searches, but it WILL NOT be considered a valid reason for requesting a change.

In addition the following items are not acceptable reasoning for a request: scene/torrent/fansub releases, sickbeard/couch potato/etc, re-airings in another country (or new channel), and once again wikipedia.

Note: Requests to unlock a series will be denied as all series locks are in place for a good reason. Please indicate which changes you are needing to see made and cite valid sources as mentioned above. Thank you

Melodifestivalen

Postby denbi90 » Thu Mar 28, 2019 2:03 pm

Kindly note the mistakes concerning the TV show Melodifestivalen:

- On tvdb.com, the shows are listed as "Season 1959", "Season 1960", etc. The numbers are not season numbers but the year when the shows were held. From 1959 till 2001 there
- Broadcasting date for Melodifestivalen 1960 was 2nd February and not 6th February.
- Most specials are not listed on https://www.tvdb.com. The "Specials" list seems a little pointless as in reality they are mini documentaries and SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, produced many of these documentaries which are difficult to list on https://www.tvdb.com as nowadays there are even made-for-website, on demand, and eventually deleted. Hence, I would delete the "Specials" list.
- The following Melodifestivalen shows are missing:
Melodifestivalen 1971 (one episode, broadcast date: 27th February)
Melodifestivalen 1990 (one episode, broadcast date: 9th March)
Melodifestivalen 1992 (one episode, broadcast date: 14th March)
Melodifestivalen 1993 (one episode, broadcast date: 5th March)
Melodifestivalen 1994 (one episode, broadcast date: 12th March)
Melodifestivalen 1995 (one episode, broadcast date: 24th February)
Melodifestivalen 1996 (one episode, broadcast date: 24th February)
Melodifestivalen 1997 (one episode, broadcast date: 8th March)
Melodifestivalen 1998 (one episode, broadcast date: 14th March)
Melodifestivalen 2001 (one episode, broadcast date: 23rd February)
- "Season 8" and "Season 9" should be removed.

Please note that I posted Wikipedia as a resource as not all Melodifestivalen editions are published on demand on SVT's website and so it may appear that some editions on Wiki are extra but they are not. They really happened.

1958-2001 - one show
2002-present - six shows with semi-finals, second chance and final

We will not remove the specials, as for the unavailable, if you present fonts, I will be happy to add. In fact, I would like you to bring sources of those episodes and the date to be corrected. Remembering Wikipedia is not considered a source. ;)

Thank you for your reply!

I already posted the website from where I got all those dates:

https://www.oppetarkiv.se/etikett/titel ... d_stigande

Open it and keep clicking on "View previous" to reveal all the shows so far with all the dates under their respective picture.

Example:
Eurovision Song Contest
Melodifestivalen 1985
March 2, 1985
