As Facebook has recently changed their API limiting the ability to customize image content on automated posts, TheTVDB's lack of og tags has become very noticeable. Essentially, because Facebook is simply fetching the first img tag in the page, it will always default to the kid watching TV in the header of all pages.
Adding Open Graph Markup (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sh ... ers#markup) should be a rather simple feature to implement, specifically using the first or random value from the Posters image array in the og:image tag. This will make our Facebook sharing so much prettier!

This should be a tremendously easy improvement - want me to implement it for you?

You should be aware that v1 is in feature lock pending the final updates for v2.
I believe something like this is one such update.

So since we seem to be in a completely stalled state for v2.0 what's the likelihood of adding this super simple update to the current branch?

It has been stated multiple times, there will be zero changes to the current site except to address critical security issues.
