@Travillion if you're using Plex just manually set the show to pull info from themoviedb. They don't split them over there. Frustrating I know but tvdb seems to be stuck on this.

Thanks for the tip, based on lots of reading it seems like that is the best solution. Pretty stupid, but oh well. Can I make that change per show? I see in my settings-->agents I can shuffle the order, but that looks like a global (i.e., all TV shows) change.

You can edit just the single show. Select fix match, manual search and use the movie database.

The DVD Order is set up, see e.g. details on this episode:
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/daniel-t ... 74874/edit

You don't see it on the episode or the series just yet as it's not back on the new site yet, but the info should be in the API so you shoud be able to use it.

That's probably the most irritating part of DVD Order as it now stands - without any visual confirmation, there's no way to confirm at-a-glance that the alternate orders are filled in or even complete. Here's hoping that's addressed soon.

The episode numbering looks correct to me: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/daniel-t ... easons/all
Personally I handle these by using split numbering with Kodi and Plex like this:
01x01-02
01x03-04
...
etc

I figured out the reason why DVD order wasn't working for me on Plex...

These multi-episodes use decimal numbering in DVD ordering (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, etc.) and Plex can't handle that. So, while DVD ordering may be accurate in the database, it doesn't resolve the Plex metadata issue. Which isn't tvdb's fault per se, but still frustrating as there seems to be no good solution to this. I can't manually fix things by splitting up my files, etc., without messing up my DVR (since TV guide information for upcoming airings views them as a single episode instead of split).

If they are aired as one show (as they are) the database should reflect that.

@neebski, I followed your advice about tmdb, and that worked *mostly* for Daniel Tiger, not at all for Curious George. I wanted to edit episodes there since it's not locked down, but their printed rules are the same as tvdb (want multi-episodes split), and I could not see how to do it without causing more problems. So, while it would be better for me if things were listed as a single episode (as they aired), I know I'm not going to change any site's mind about it. I just wish there was a good solution to this.
