Hi Guys,

sorry for my complete overhaul last week on the last season of Grand Designs. I was not aware of guidelines towards this specific show.

However:
I am missing one episode of 14/11/2012. Revisited: Isle of Wight
http://www.tvrage.com/Grand_Designs/episodes/1065239452
Can anyone add it?

Now i prefer to use tvrage for episode listings. I use epguides since it is lightweight and that links directly to tvrage.
Reading this topic I gather that is not the right way to go. Can anyone tell me what is? Since wikipedia is also wrong and most of the time not up to date. So is imdb.

No problem, I think the only bits that were out of place were the revisited episodes (which always need adding to earlier season by a mod) - The current system for this show is far from ideal but was the best of a bad bunch at the time.

Basically the current structure for this is:
We list the seasons the same as tvrage except for revisited episodes
Episode names are Location: Description
Revisted episodes go into the same season as the original episode for each design.
Revisted episodes have all been named to match the original episode with "Revisited -" pre-pended

As far as I could tell last time I worked on this listing, there were no official titles so we've always gone with the general consensus on episodes names from TV Rage etc, although a quick look shows that C4 have started consistently adding (very bad) titles to episodes so we'll see what they do there.

On the new site (no ETA) we will list them in bth the current structure, and the 'absolute' aired order unless C4 get their act together and finish splitting out their listings for the Revisited ones....:

Wow, I had no idea that the new revisited episodes were showing up in past seasons. I was coming here to complain that the series was locked and someone wasn't bothering to add new episodes. I'm really not a fan of the concept of adding newly aired shows to old, "closed" seasons. It makes archiving much more difficult.

I second that... but it is what has been decided....

I agree (it makes more work for me) and I'm the one behind the naming scheme. However as mentioned above (I think) it was deemed the best of a bad bunch of options at the time.
I'm still waiting to see if C4 finish splitting it into two shows on their site and so on, but I gave up expecting logic from them a long while ago
The main issue was that in series 7-9 there were revisited episodes in between normal episodes so if we did split them up later we'd mess up everyone's ordering. I'm going to ensure that we have both the current listing and the one a lot of people will want on the new site (no ETA) as it will allow multiple listing orders.

All I can say is that for longer term consistency it's the best solution we could have implemented (unless we overlooked any options), and we will be doing our best to make everyone happy on the new site :)

I know that I am new to this, but I joined purely to comment on the way the Grand Designs is structured.

IMHO the show airs in a sequence - this sequence includes revisited episodes. I know there was debate about this, but the method that TV rage has used is logical and fits with how people actually watch the show.

Happy to help out a re-orgnaise if needed.

Please unlock the seasons. They are missing episodes.
