Alternatively, maybe we could create a "Chopped-alt" series entry so we can actually update the Chopped entries there and watch it. Which would be a stupid duplication of effort, but maybe it's the only way to use thetvdb for this show while it remains locked.

I think I see what happened, which is why I stopped editing the listing.

From what I recall, Food originally listed the series by production codes, and had multiple different competitions airing in alternating timeslots.
Without duplicating existing entries, and in order to maintain some sense of continuity, the decision was made to match their series listings by production codes rather than airdates.

I've been posting in this thread the last few months about upcoming episodes. I've largely been going on production codes over air dates. Is this incorrect? I use tvdb tot organize my media and a lot of it would have to be reorganized if we were to shy away from using the production codes. I tend to follow production codes for other food network shows too.

Any other series, I would say that it's incorrect, but the original airing entity for Chopped decided to air multiple season orders in alternating timeslots, so this listing is rather the exception to the rule.

New Year's Bash should be moved from S31E17 to S30E08:

New Year's Bash (Air Date: Dec 20(?), 2016)
It's the first ever Chopped New Year's party and the competitors get the celebration started with an extravagant appetizer basket that includes $50 worth of caviar and other pricy ingredients. The chefs find more premium items in the entree baskets, as well as a traditional southern New Year's legume. The last two chefs in this New Year's fight face some dressed-up ice cream cones and a limited number of grapes for dessert. (Episode: CQ3008H)

As season 32 is underway, could we get any remaining updates finalized for Season 30/31, and locked for posterity?

I'll also request that New Year's Bash gets moved to Season 30 since this listing is going by production code and all the other episodes it's listed with on Food Network are in that season already.

This blank episode could also use a removal:

Thanks ^^

Based on OP notes, I believe we should be changing Season 31's "Beat Bobby Flay" specials back to be part of the season, as they have production codes to match (e.g. CQ3103H)

However it's done, I'm fine either way, but if we could have a mod put in their input and lock Season 31, please, that'd be most appreciated!

I agree, they do indicate whether it's a special in the production code so some tournaments are specials while others aren't. This happened in Season 28 as an example:
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid ... nid=659987

This is a tournament with a special production code:
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesi ... id=5388951

The current listing on Food Network lumps all the specials together in Season 30 and "Beat Bobby Flay" wasn't included:

It looks like the series is unlocked now but a major mess for Season 35/36. A ton of episodes were blanked out, there is a duplicate episode in 34 with S35E11 being there twice because of the Beets Go On being there for S35E6 and S35E11, There are also episodes duplicated across S35 and S36.

Would be great if one of the admins could look and clean this up since it requires some deletions.
