Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
Season 1 (Episodes 1 thru 25)
Season 2 (Episode 26 - ongoing)
Another telling fact is that the official sites for most of these split-cour series list the episodes as 1-24, further reinforcing that this was always a single "season" with a broadcast break midway through.
hitokiri149 wrote:Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-blooded Orphans also can not be split-cour by definition.
"One of the four conventional three-month periods of television broadcasting in Japan (January to March; April to June; July to September; October to December): "Noragami" aired during the first cour of 2014." (emphasis mine)
So, a split-cour series would need to have two 13 episode pieces divided by a break. A complete season in Japan, for as long as I have been alive, is 26 weeks. So, we clearly have two seasons not a split-cour series. As anime has gotten shorter the cour has become more important than the season.
Your first source says 第32話 or "Episode 32" right off the bat. From the OP:Another telling fact is that the official sites for most of these split-cour series list the episodes as 1-24, further reinforcing that this was always a single "season" with a broadcast break midway through.
This show is pretty much the definition of split-cour, since like all main Gundam series it had 50 episodes greenlit from the get-go.

Sorry about that.
No need to apologise, thanks for fixing it.
Credit where it's due, I didn't get to it first.
Someone else fixed that particular goof.
