Hello, I spent a couple of days downloading and reformatting thumbnails so I could upload them to this site. I have now seen that almost all of them have been deleted. Even images I uploaded a few minutes ago. Can you let me know what happened?

https://www.thetvdb.com/series/gaming-h ... s/official (I added 145 images and info for all, now no images)
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/my-life- ... s/official (I added approx 180 images and info for all, now no images)

There are more examples, but these two series are the ones who stand out as I put so much time into this.

Did you upload title cards? They are not allowed.

Edit: Looking at trakt.tv those are are title cards, that also include text. Definitely not allowed.

I had no idea that was not allowed. Well, that's a lot of work down the tube.

Do you happen to have a link to the policy around images?

I feel like this should be reconsidered for Youtube content. Makes no sense having the episode image here be different from the actual thumbnail the content maker chose for his video.

As you can guess I am in agreement as YouTube creators spend a lot of time and money to create these for their audiences. Though I really don't like the idea of re-sizing and re-uploading hundreds of thumbnails again.

Youtube and title cards have been around for a long time. We are not changing our rules.

Imzadi is right. This is a long-standing rule and while we understand that this may be the image the content creators prefer, it needs to be a screenshot of the show that is text-less. This corresponds to not just YouTube, but all our content.

A pity, but it does have the upside that it will save me a lot of time resizing all those images 🤷‍♂️
