I understand and in fact welcome moving support to a different system but Is the entire forum closing? What about the forums listed under Miscellaneous? I don't see any way for current users who communicate via these forums to continue to do so.

The forums are moving to osTicket. The forums will be going read-only shortly and new users are currently unable to post to the forums. For any questions or requests related to content, please make a ticket in osTicket. We are considering rolling out a discussion component on series and movie pages for users, but any actions on content will require a ticket.

Will my account on this forum also going to be deleted? It'd be great if you guys keep the Bookmark feature of this forum.

....and How are you guys planning to posts future announcements from the staff?

I'm also working on hopefully temporary measures to fill the gap, but they're very much dependent on nailing down a concrete timeline from the administration and a standard review of "if" and "for how long" they might be acceptable alternatives to these forums.

We'll see what comes of my RfC, if anything. :)

There's a feature update section in the knowledge base of osTicket. We will also be reactivating the blog and social for major announcements.

Will this be visible to those that have not signed up for yet another account?

The knowledge base is viewable here whether you are logged into osTicket or not - https://support.thetvdb.com/kb/index.php.

Here is the blog - https://thetvdb.com/blog we will also be rolling out content discussion pages on the main site which can take the place of forum discussion, but any request will still need to be done through osTicket.

Great, thanks. I had no idea the blog existed. If not too much trouble, a link in the header or footer of the site would be helpful :)

I guess that's one way to squash the community's general displeasure with how this site is being run. Just shut the fuckin forums down right?
