Show "You" (2018) not detected correctly on Kodi

Postby mulderfox » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:17 pm

This is not the first time. Some shows simply don't get detected properly by Kodi's Thetvdb scraper.
This new show, for instance, is detected as a Japanese anime for some reason. I added "(2018)" after the name to make it easier to be detected, but it didn't.
Any idea how to make sure a show is detected correctly?

That would be a question for the Kodi forums, not the TVDB forum.

But I just tested it and it scraped fine for me. If you are getting the wrong show, then call up the Information Page, select Refresh and then pick the correct show out of the list.

I had this same exact issue but with an other show called Wanderlust (2018).
@bluesquirrel : What you said to do worked in my case, so thanks.

I do think there is an issue with the TVDB in itself (it's not just kodi), I'm using a program called Filebot ( that use the tvdb (not really sure how but it uses the TVDB) to retrieve the information about the show and it wasn't in the possibilities (so it couldn't identify it) :

Input: E:\Completed\Wanderlust.2018.S01E02.1080p.HDTV.x264-MTB[rarbg]\wanderlust.s01e02.1080p.hdtv.x264-mtb.mkv
Group: [tvs:wanderlust] => [wanderlust.s01e02.1080p.hdtv.x264-mtb.mkv]
Rename episodes using [TheTVDB]
Auto-detected query: [wanderlust]
Fetching episode data for [Wanderlust]
Fetching episode data for [Wander Over Yonder]

It stops there, there was no other "results". Usually it works fine. (with a show and a date, but the one from 2018 was just not there)

(I know that I'm a bit off topic so you can move this post it if you want)
