I'm wondering if it isn't a financial issue, perhaps the Admins don't have the funds to purchase powerful enough servers/bandwidth to keep up with demand? Heck given that they haven't posted to the Twitter or Facebook accounts since last March I'm wondering if they haven't had some personal issues that are keeping them from doing anything with the site

I mean it's no secret that the site has to handle quite a lot of traffic (for everyone) but some communication on this would still be great... The current site does not get any updates (and thus improvements on the backend) and V2 is also seemingly stalled. Really quite the bummer esp. with other players like TMDB being around.

I wonder where our DC is, because I badly want to break off my foot in the ass of whoever keeps tripping over our LAN cabling. Of course, I'm discounting things I've experienced myself, that such providers wouldn't necessarily admit - like a Cat6 with a broken plug clip slowly vibrating out of a switchport over time (try troubleshooting THAT ONE remotely!)

I have been getting this a lot recently as well - very frustrating.

Still no access today.

I am in the UK with BT infinity (fibre).

Also they use CloudFlare but have the site setup in such a way that CloudFlare can't serve cached pages.

Serving caches would be useful for regular users indeed.

But this error doesn't seem to trigger Cloudflare's always online protection... I only occasionally get there. The rest of the time is just a 503 page straight up. And I'm not sure it's even applicable here since they apparently cache only the most popular pages, so that's probably why only the home page is cached.

Also, as an editor, it would be useless for me.

Right now for example I'm only getting 503s, no Cloudflare page at all.

I've been getting 503s for about 30 minutes, and am now starting to see 504s from Cloudflare.

I hope this means v2 is being banged out, the breaches are getting ridiculous.
