Airdates in foreign countries

Postby lupacexi » Tue Mar 13, 2018 1:33 pm

I was wondering how to handle foreign countries' airdates. For example, I have Smallville in both English and German. Likewise, Star Trek, Andromeda, and a dozen other series. In Germany, Smallville's pilot is called "Nicht von dieser Welt" and was first broadcast January 3, 2003. In the US, that was "Pilot" and October 16, 2001. It would be incorrect to say that Smallville in German was first broadcast 10-16-2001, because that's the American, not German first airdate. How can I accurately reflect the airdate on a per country basis?

You would have to do it manually on your end. Most likely with NFO files but that would depend on what tool you are using to catalog your files. This site only ever intends to record the first air date in the country of origin. So Smallville uses the US dates where as something that originates in say the UK has those dates
All PM's asking for exceptions, rule changes, series unlocks et al will be ignored.
