We will be moving to a new datacenter tonight. Starting this work around 4pm PST. Hope to be complete by 8pm PST.
This will not have any impact on the forums.
Sorry for the outage, but has to be done.
Thanks,

Guess I picked the wrong day to take off to rework my media collection
at least I can stop trying to work out why nothing is scrapping / renaming now
do you have the right date up their ? I swear you posted that on the 8/24 7am ish
I assume you take it off-line to speed up the process
or is it because you have no way to make it read only ?

In the words of Elliott (scrubs)... "FRICK!!!"
I just got done doing a total overhaul of my server structure and moved 12TB of media to a single, new, flashy device...and now i cant tag them
That being said, here's to a new datacenter and the reliability and speed that comes with "shiny"

same I planed on getting 16tb of newly downloaded Anime done today
Filebots not going to work with out theTVDB
sometimes I wounder why I chose theTVDB over AniDB ... I think it was because I found it to damn hard to find specific episode data

What can we look forward to with the new datacenter move? Increased speed? Sorry, I'm a nerd and I'm curious about the tech specs of the upgrade.
Site is back up
Well we moved because we lost our free hosting. To give you an idea of how much bandwidth this site uses, we average 220Mbit/sec right now, or roughtly 41 Terabytes of data a month. If we don't figure out how to monotize the site soon or get more donations it will most likely be shut down, as non of us admins have 500-1000$ laying around to put into it a month.
Scott will be posting more about that later.

I haven't been able to access the site since it went down. Is there anything I need to do on my end to fix this?
Shouldn't be anything special. What IP does www.thetvdb.com resolve to when you ping www.thetvdb.com?
