Agreed. I've moved Best Bits 1 & 2 to Specials. I'll not lock Season 20 yet to allow people to add more episodes if they are aired, but if incorrect episodes are added again then I'm happy to lock it.

Based on this topic resolved today, 8OO10CDC has been updated to move the Best Bits episodes to Specials. Unfortunately this does not match the long running format that UK panel shows have had for years on this site. I think this ruling goes a lot deeper than just this one season on one show. Could you please take a look at the following shows that have their best of episodes included in the regular seasons as well? It seems that either this one show needs to change back, or all of these need to be updated retroactively.

I'm not staff or anything, but since I requested the move of the "Best Bits 1" episode I thought I'd chip in.

The 80010CDC "Best Bits 1" episode has "bits" from at least as far back as season 16, so including it in season 20 is, imho, totally wrong.
80010CDC currently has no other episodes apart from the two new ones named 'best bits' here on TVDB?

QI's "VG" episodes have always contained only clips from one season, so including the "R" VG in season 18 (R) is very appropriate, I think.

While I don't disagree with this thinking normally, like you said, 8OO10CDC has never had Best Bits in the past. But due to the pandemic messing up the taping of all of these live audience shows, they are just trying fill space since there were only 3 episodes this season. Which is hardly enough to make TWO clips shows.

To my point, they are using the already established "Best Bits" format just like 8 Out Of 10 Cats (the original) specifically, in addition to the other shows I listed previously. Whatever the mods decide, I'm sure it will be fine. But I think it's important for them to have all of the relative information and to have consistency for the long run, whether that means that compilations are in Specials, or in the season they aired in.

Here is a secondary source that is usually pretty spot on when it comes to these types of shows that list it as part of season 20 since the official source does not say "Special" (like with the Christmas episodes) or give a season number:

We don't have a specific policy for UK panel shows. Ultimately, our policy for any show listed in the database is to follow the listings of the official broadcaster on a show by show basis.

In regard to 8OO10CDC, Channel 4 lists all previous episodes as "Series X Episode X", however the "Best Bits" episodes are not prefixed with "Season X", suggesting they are not part of that series/season.

The other shows you mention do however list the best bits/compilations within the respective seasons. For example, the VG episodes of QI and the "Unseen Bits" of Would I Lie to You

Thank you for the clarification and why this one is different the the other examples I am used to seeing. Quarantine has really done a number on a lot of shows I watch and it's hard to follow sometimes.
