I'm not sure what the confusion is here. Its 2 seasons end of story. Is this going to be changed or not?

I'm forced to agree. Netflix could have easily added the new episodes under the heading of Season 1, but did not. They've called it Season 2, and IMDB also lists it this way. Articles/Interviews may say many things, and are often full of speculation, intention, or poor word choices. The only thing that matters is the actual episode information.

I have no doubt that these new episodes are "Part 2" of the story arc currently airing, but this second part of the story has been grouped by Netflix into a separate, second season. It's only going to cause scraping problems if the ordering here doesn't match Netflix/IMDB. Please, can someone change the information on TVDB accordingly, or unlock it so that site members can attend to it?

It has nothing to do with my pride, come on.
They called it part 2, not season 2. It's not the first time they do this, like with The Ranch for example (6 parts - 3 seasons) or The Get Down (2 parts, 1 season), Disjointed (2 parts - 1 season).

...and Making a Murderer is classed as 2 parts when it's also, clearly, 2 seasons...so, citing something as being one season because it's listed as two parts is clearly arbitrary rather than a hard and fast rule.

Again, please see my previous post where exporting the .strm files shows Netflix itself has the new episodes listed as s02e01 etc...

It's season 2. Everywhere has it labeled season 2. Swallow your pride dude, this kinda attitude that the mods give when multiple people ask for a change is getting old. Learn when to admit you're wrong. Even in your rules in red above 'Do not cite wikipedia' so when other sites are cited the request is still ignored.

Making a Murderer was never presented the same way those shows were, don't make me say what I didn't say.
It has nothing to do with pride, don't mix up everything either.

But see e.g.:

Even the showrunner speaks about a 2 parts Season 1:

The streamer has ordered another 16 episodes of the series, which will be split into two parts. Netflix initially ordered 20 episodes of the show, which was split into two 10-episode segments. The new season will begin production in 2019. The second half of Season 1 is set to premiere April 5, 2019.
Note: Due to a miscommuncation, it was initially reported that this was a renewal for Seasons 3 and 4. That is not the case.
Netflix has conjured up some excellent news for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fans: The Kiernan Shipka-led drama series has been renewed for Season 2 (aka Parts 3 and 4), TVLine has learned.
Part 1 of Sabrina, as well as the Midwinter’s Tale holiday special, are currently available to stream on Netflix. As previously reported, the nine-episode Part 2 (which, to clarify, serves as the second half of Season 1) will drop on Friday, April 5.
Last day of shooting #CAOS Season 1. Couldn’t be prouder of this incredible cast, crew, writers, and editors, making these dark dreams come true. Can’t say much about Part 2, but here’s an image that, to me, perfectly encapsulates it. See you in April, Witches!

Also, Twitter from the creator of the series, script from the last 2 episodes:

Netflix has ordered 16 more episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which will air in two parts (parts 3 & 4). That constitutes a third season for Sabrina, which had an initial order for two 10-episode seasons, with a holiday special
