Hi,
The Long Road Home (mini series) keeps getting changed by people with various opinions about the episode order.
Some episodes have been locked by users but have incorrect information (including IMDB ID's on incorrect episodes).
Please correct and lock it to stop this.

The correct order for season 1 should be (as per the below references):
Number - Name - (Notes)
1 & 2 - Black Sunday & The Eye of the Storm - (double episode)
3 - Into the Unknown
4 - In the Valley of Death
5 - The Choice
6 - A City Called Heaven
7 - Abandon Hope
8 - Always Dream of Me - (Has also been created as a special, please delete special)

Please note, there is also a blank special that should be removed.

Or leave it correctly as it is, following the official site of the originating network.

Id like to leave it alone, but unfortunately there seem to be a bit of confusion about the episode numbering and it keeps getting edited.

You are referencing the video gallery. This only show the playable files and as episode 1 & 2 are the same file, the total shows as 7 episodes.

This is the episode list, clicking on each episode shows the episode name and summary. This shows 8 episodes.

Honestly, i dont care if its decided to be 7 or 8 episodes as long as its consistent and all episodes are locked from future edits.

The Australian site is irrelevant for a US series

Ok, you have a good point there, sorry I didn't missed that.

Regardless, I would like the series to be consistently named and number then locked from future edits.

currently it looks like this:

1 Black Sunday
2 Into the Unknown
3 In the Valley of Death
4 The Choice
5 A City Called Heaven
6 Abandon Hope
7 Abandon Hope
8 Always Dream of Me
Special Always Dream of Me

If it helps at all, this is the direct link to the US episode guide rather than the video gallery, also showing that it's considered 7 episodes:

All, I cannot seem to find the rules here but the episode 1 and 2 in question have different production codes listed at the end of the episodes: ULM101 and ULM102. It seems like they clearly meant for them to be two different episodes. Does the fact that NatGeo advertise them as one because they aired as a double-feature make them one episode? Each episode ends with a "credits roll" and the second episode starts with a "Previously on... ."

I'm just curious if the website's branding of the episode overrides what is clearly two episodes? And if so, where is that rule posted on this site?

This rule is here : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9271
Official Websites* - The official listing for a series in its country of origin. Unless the listing is a god awful mess or conflicts with an existing site rule such as splitting of multipart episodes in animated series or aired ordering actually differs, the official listing will be considered gospel. No matter what the scene thinks.

Could you guys care to explain the listing from National Geographic's website on the DVD of the series?

They seem to have two "gospels" running their episode listings on their very own website. In fact, Black Friday isn't even listed as being a part of the series. Does that mean the first episode in two-part form are now specials?

Under Title Listing:

The Road to War
The Eye of the Storm
Into the Unknown
Into the Valley of Death
The Choice
A City Called Heaven
Abandon Hope
Always Dream of Me
