Season 2 is about to start. TheTVDB has 'Season One' and 'Season Two' locked down, but in fact the episodes in there are tele MOVIES, NOT episodes.

Factual information on the wiki page and the broadcaster's page

Can Season One and Two be removed please and Season 3 (which has the correct episodes) changed to Season ONE?

Thank you

Look at the ABC link you posted. Somehow they replaced the old Series 2 with the new upcoming one, but Series 1 and 3 still reflect what is listed here. Just add the new episodes as Season 4.

@ Maetoh.
No, this is incorrect.
The first three ''Jack Irish" films:

14th October, 2012 'Jack Irish - Bad Debts'
21st October, 2012 'Jack Irish - Back Tide'
13th April, 2014 - 'Jack Irish - Dead Point'

are in fact stand-alone TV movies or telemovies as they are sometime known as. They are not a stand-alone series or episodes of a series. So listing them as Series/Seasons, and episodes of Series/Seasons is incorrect. (Series is the terminology used in Australia). On the DVDs of each of these three telemovies, there are no references at all to 'Series', 'Seasons' or 'Episodes', only the actual titles of each film.

In fact the first series (season) commenced in 2016 comprising six episodes. On TheTVDB.com site they have been misidentified and mislabelled as 'Season 3'. This should be corrected and re-labelled as Series/Season 1.

Yesterday, Sunday 8th July, 2018, the second series of six episodes of 'Jack Irish' began airing on ABC TV in Australia. They have been misidentified and mislabelled as 'Season 4'. This should be corrected and re-labelled as Series/Season 2.

The Series 2 episode numbers (No titles) and projected air dates are as follows:

2x01 - Episode 1 - Sunday, 8th July, 2018
2x02 - Episode 2 - Sunday, 15th July, 2018
2x03 - Episode 3 - Sunday, 22nd July, 2018
2x04 - Episode 4 - Sunday, 29th July, 2018
2x05 - Episode 5 - Sunday, 5th July, 2018
2x06 - Episode 6 - Sunday, 12th July, 2018

It is pretty obvious ABC's site in unable to correctly catalogue TV movies hence the confusion here. If you see this link http://www.abc.net.au/tv/programs/jack-irish/ and change between the seasons you will see that several episodes are repeated and out of order (eg: the second TV movie is listed under 'Series' but then again under 'Series 1' which also happens to contain episode 5 & 6 of what TVDb currently considers 'Series 3'.

I think it is a better idea to use ABC's iView platform in this instance since it is still an official source but has been correctly catalogued. ABC iView no longer offer the first 3 TV movies but they are available on Amazon as full ~90min movies (not episodic) both on Blu-ray and streaming as well as via Stan.

The structure for this show ought to be:

Jack Irish: Bad Debts (2012) - TV movie, ~90min
Jack Irish: Black Tide (2012) - TV movie, ~90min
Jack Irish: Dead Point (2014) - TV movie, ~90min

Jack Irish: Season 1 (2016) - 6 episodes, ~55min each
Jack Irish: Season 2 (2018) - 6 episodes, ~55min each

Apologies for the double post, I don't see a way to edit my last one.

The ABC online store offers further official evidence for my position:

https://shop.abc.net.au/jack-irish-trio-boxset-3dvd
"Included in this box set are the three Jack Irish films based on the celebrated novels by Peter Temple."

Season 1:
https://shop.abc.net.au/jack-irish-s1-2dvd
https://shop.abc.net.au/jack-irish-s1-bluray

Season 2:
https://shop.abc.net.au/jack-irish-series-2

Complete Box Set:
https://shop.abc.net.au/jack-irish-seri ... tv-special
Lists contents as the first 2 seasons and the 3 films.

I've been following this thread, but there seems to be no correction to the series information. As a result, tools like Sonar are not finding seasons 1 and 2's episodes. Is there a way to get this corrected? Thanks

Any update on this? Amazon/its Acorn TV channel is listing the 3 movies under Season 0 btw. Idk if y'all want to include them as specials or not?
