Using TVDB from a web site.

A place for developers to advertise their TheTVDB.com enabled app and get help from other developers with the API.

Hi, on the home page it says
This site also has a full XML API that allows other software and websites to use this information.
Are there any tutorials on accessing the API from a web site? (using either PHP or HTML5). I've tried accessing some features using xmlhttp but I just get access denied errors, presumably because you can't use xmlhttp to access content from websites other than your own.

I already have an app in C#, but I'd like a web site to complement it.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
- Chris

The directions are in the wiki. It doesn't matter if you access the api from a php script or a c# program it works the same. If you search on google I believe some people have even written php libraries to access our api.

Please don't PM me. Post in the forums instead unless there is a very good reason for a PM or I won't respond.

I'm working on something similar, the way I was going about it was to encapsulate all the logic for accessing thetvdb in a c# class library that I can then reference from both my windows and web app.
