Nearly half the shows I've reviewed in the en.xml have seasons/episodes out of order and was not the case prior to v3 rollout. One huge case I noted was Season0 is all over the place order wise. Even episodes are not consecutive. The list is to big to itemize but it's causing allot of issues in Kodi.

I checked those titles here in Kodi for Season0/Specials and v1 is not indicating this issue. What api version is MediaPortal using?

We're using v1 in MediaPortal. Maybe the issue has fixed itself for those series.

I see the problem that my user reported. It's because the v1 API now returns these fields for normal episodes:

Code: Select all

<airsafter_season>0</airsafter_season>
<airsbefore_episode>0</airsbefore_episode>
<airsbefore_season>0</airsbefore_season>
Previously v1 API only returned these fields when the Combined_season=0

This soooo needs to be fixed. Season/episodes out of order breaks all indexing and many Kodi addons are broken while numerous complaints are brought up and I keep repeating myself over and over why this is like that and who's really to blame for it.

The out of order issue effects both season and episode and this was not a problem prior to v3 rollout so that is where it was broken.

This is just an example with the show "The Expanse" Season2 episodes are out of order in the en.xml. This is a pretty widespread problem

I also do not see this item listed in the "Known Issues Log & Status". Could a moderator please check this issue and hopefully add it to the list?

Sorry this image is for Goliath Season 2 not The Expanse Season 2.

But you would need to show the en.xml also.

Sorry my bad on the show. I've reviewed so many I just lost my place...right pic just wrong show typed. Anyway here's a little side by side pic to show the episode order displayed in kodi that follows the order from the en.xml.

Little reformatting so can be read a bit easier..which brings up another point I've asked a few times. Why has all the formatting been removed from all xml files so that the entire xml is now on one line? Makes it quite a pita to read. Not an error but a convenience issue that should be go back to retaining the formatting it once did prior to v3 rollout.

For now I've been using this online tool to re-format the xml files. I'd sure love to see this fixed.
