What happened to searching for episodes by air date? Someone was asking about this about 2 years ago (viewtopic.php?t=26985), it was said to have been implemented in Beta (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=25454&start=30#p89290), but I can't seem to find any further details about this endpoint in the swagger documentation. At the moment
/series/{id}/episodes/query returns firstAired but doesn't seem to take it as a parameter.

Essentially I would like to know how to recreate the functionality of v1's GetEpisodeByAirDate endpoint (https://www.thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php/ ... eByAirDate) without going through heroic lengths. As far as I can tell, under v2 the following would be required:

Code: Select all

1. Query for the series id [GET | /search/series]
2. Query for a page of episodes in the series [GET | /series/{id}/episodes]
3. Continue until the episode is found
4. Query for the episode details [GET /episodes/{id}]
For a recent episode of a long running television show like the Daily Show this could take ~35 API calls-- is there a better way?
