Just a lead in, I have used Plex for a number of years and have had to work my way through some matching issues but I recently ran into something that I can't seem to get around.
I recently added Wheeler Dealers: Dream Cars episodes to my TV library but can't get Plex do get the information for the series. I have put Plex into debug mode and had it go out and check for the series by doing a Refresh Metadata. I see the data out there on TVDB and what I have matches what I have named the files on Plex but it just never updates.
At this point I'm not sure which way to turn, is this a Plex issue or is it a TVDB issue?
Any advice on what I can try?

Are you still having a problem with this show on Plex? You didn't link to the show's page, but I assume it was this:
https://thetvdb.com/series/wheeler-dealers-dream-car
I tried it out on Plex myself and it pulls it just fine here. If you are still having issues, it may be due to how you have the files or subfolder named. I named the show's folder like this:
Wheeler Dealers.Dream Car
And the episodes like so:
Wheeler Dealers.Dream Car.S01E01.mkv
Basically use a period instead of the colon. Also note that it's "Car", not "Cars", which is how you spelled it in your post.
