I noticed that the tv show "90 Day Fiance Happy Ever After" aired on the broadcaster "TLC" with their season 4, episode 6 in two parts. They even list it as a two part episode on their site. I tried to create two episode 6's, one labelled part 1 and one labelled part 2, but plex does not pick it up. Is there a way to label TV episodes that are meant to be the same episode number but are two parts? TLC did this as well with episode 7, there are two parts for that episode as well.

See TLC page and tvdb page:

https://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/90-day-fia ... ver-after/

https://www.thetvdb.com/series/90-day-f ... /seasons/4

On my drive I've labelled the files as:

Yet plex see's it as only S04E06 and bunches them together.

I was hoping that adding the episodes twice on the tvdb as it is on the TLC website would fix the issue but it appears not. That part may be a plex problem but i wanted to confirm if the episodes are entered correctly on TVDB first before I go to the plex forum.

Thank you!

Plex numbering for episodes in parts.
The issue probably stems from the period between the keyword 'Part' and the number.
If that's not enough I'd clean it up to use dashes and spaces to match TVDB naming.

The problem though is that the episode files i have aren't in 'parts' the episodes labelled by the production company themselves have created the episode structure like that. There is an episode 6 part 1 and a episode 6 part 2. Shouldn't the tvdb represent that instead of combining them into one episode 6 episode?

I also did try to do the plex pt1 and pt2, it then showed up instead of two episode 6 files as just one but it actually didn't combine them for some reason and still only plays only part 1. Hence why i wanted to rather see in my plex episode guide two entries for episode 6, part1 and part2 just like the production company intended it to be.

Is there a way for the tvdb to do that and have applications like plex pick it up? I'm guessing that the production company did something irregular to normal standards which would be to just have one episode instead of splitting it into two episodes without labeling them as two separate episodes aside from adding the 'part 1' and 'part 2' naming convention. Which then no guide/media application is prepared for..

For now I will simply merge my files together even though that isn't truly how the production company wanted it to be and I will clean up the tvdb entries I created for the part 1 and part 2 and simply leave it as season 4, episode 6.
