Re: Is there a ban on adding series that are still in production and have not yet aired?

You added a bunch of information against site rules. Actor images that aren't in character, episodes with no information. It got deleted. Adding a series still in production is allowed but you need real information. We have no rule about series in production because it's not needed. If you have real...

Re: Why is Pokemon anime page locked?

It's locked because Pokemon is popular and it's page is vandalized within hours if we unlock it. It's one of the most vandalized series on the site and is unlikely to ever become user editable again. Changes have to be requested in the forums and then will be made by a mod.

There are rules that forbid it already. We don't allow place holders, it's never OK to add blank episodes. Actor images are also suppose to be in character. If you have actual information you can add it but we never want junk information in the DB.

Re: Add Arabic Language

No, there's no system to help translate information and you really shouldn't be doing it yet. If you put non English information into English fields right now there's still a good chance it will be deleted. I'd highly recommend waiting for the new site to launch before starting anything.

Re: Doctor Who -- BBC America?

You're on the wrong kind of site. You're looking for a site like zap2it or any other number of tvguides. We make no effort to provide tv times for people in their own region here. We only list the original air dates for series. We've talked about doing tv guides but its unlikely we'd ever do it as t...

Re: Ideas for web series

I doubt we'll do it. The auto capturing of information would never happen. It's a lot to code and would add many errors to the database when creators edit/remove their videos (EG first air date should never change). Also for things like screen shots we don't' want auto generated ones in the first pl...

Re: Translate actor's name

Jensel Ackles is still Jensel Ackles even in Chinese. Ultimately if there is enough demand for this we'd probably do it but it's not planned and I don't think it's something that should be done. Names really shouldn't be translated. We have tons of other features we want to support so even with dema...

Re: Networks and Time Zones

All times listed on this site are in the timezone of the original network that airs it, in its home country. It's not really meant to be used as a TV guide, if you want ot get accurate listings of shows in your own time zones you need to link up with some other site. We provide a Zap2it / SchedulesD...

Re: Fields for intro end and credit stop times.

We've considered adding support for musical time codes. You could use that to list opening and closing credits as well as any times a song plays to see it's information. The big problem is timecodes aren't very uniform, the same episode from a different source can have different start and end times....

Re: Scaling Series poster to season poster

It likely will be changed with our new site. The problem is series posters are newer and when we added them we went with the standard that people wanted. The plan was to change season posters to be the same size but it causes issues changing the existing format. They will likely be unified with the ...
