Re: API Updates

These are not breaking changes, only additions to the data for a few endpoints. Not quite. It broke the Kodi scraper. I suppose I should have been more clear. Normal API usage should be fine, their scraper uses regexes instead of standard JSON parsing so it's brittle. That's not really something we...

Re: API Updates

No plans for either of those, but feel free to drop tickets in GitLab and we'll see what can be done.

API Updates

We'll be pushing changes to the v2 API with a few enhancements that are worth highlighting. These are not breaking changes, only additions to the data for a few endpoints. Added the `slug` field to the `/series/{id}` endpoint for easy linking to the new site ( GitLab ). Full episode info for the `/s...

GitLab all the (APIv2) things!

Given all of our work happens in GitLab, we're moving to using that to manage all of the issues around the APIv2 as well. If you don't have an account there, please create one and then request access to the "thetvdb_api" via the ui. Once that's been granted, you can submit issues via https://gitlab....

Re: API V2.x Discussion

Greetings, I've tried to use swagger.json for new API to autogenerate some client code and realized that swagger definition is incorrect. Specifically, /search/series returns an object with "data" field that is an array of Series object, and not a single object as swagger.json says. What I can do t...

Re: Allow for extended metadata in a single request

It's possible we might add it down the road, but right now we're holding off making any significant changes pending the migration to the new site. That should give us a much more sane schema which, in turn, should greatly reduce the db impact of all the queries.

Re: API v2 showstoppers

We've put it on hold due to the work being done on the new site. With that site comes a new (much more sane) schema that makes doing multi-language lookups much less taxing. Hopefully we'll have that progressing in the near future, but I doubt the sunset date on the old API will hold if the site lau...

Re: API v2 showstoppers

Thanks! Translation handling was my primary concern and I'm happy to hear that this challenge is being tackled. :) The forums don't let me edit old posts, but I've come around on the idea of pages, assuming that they're sorted by episode id, so that the information on page 1..n-1 effectively never ...
