I was under the impression that this site didn't allow the addition of information about sporting events/series. Has this changed?

Visiting the home page today, I noticed that there are now series for British Superbike(motorcycle racing), World Superbike, the World Rally Championship, an episode for the Formula 1 race in Monaco, etc. Just wondering if it's time to start contributing... or time for the Mods to do some cleaning?

i hope u dont start cleaning up these sporting events, i seem to be one of the few people who watch motor/auto racing events.

has the new site been complete and if so will a discussion about sporting events being added possible be made?

i would love to see BSB/BTCC/ world superbike/ motogp and other racing events unlocked.

Hello,

I went to delete the series listed here as they are sports, and found that they have been locked by various MODS. Are we keeping these now opening up the possiblity of daily baseball games or weekly American Football and such being added to the DB?

Agreed. The only reason the older entries were locked like the various WWE and WWF shows is out of respect for the work people have put into them over the years in hopes that we'll one day allow them. This is no longer an issue because the series creation page says NO FUCKING SPORTS in large bold letters. Anyone too ignorant to read the warning deserves their entries deleted and their time wasted.

Hmmm....how do I tell when the entry was made?

Don't think you can. A hint as to how new it is is if there's anything under the "Series added by" though. Presumably this field wasn't present in the past.

A good indication however is the series id. For example series created in early 2011 are around 190000, while current series ids are over 260000. I'd say anything below 150000 (early 2010) or so pertaining to sports of any kind could be locked and left alone. Don't exactly remember when we updated the series add page with all the new info, but 2 and a half years sounds about right.
