Hi all

So I am developing an app and would require a db dump so I dont abuse the API too much. I have found the thread here - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7550 is this the latest one or is there a more recent one?

Is there something similar for banners? I imagine pulling down all the images would be much more abusive to your servers than simpley making lots of API requests? Plus because of the hotlinking / referral block its difficult to see whats what on a series without just downloading them all.

Also re here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9724&p=38978 mind if I ask what you are moving to and why? purely for my own interest :)

Cheers

We're moving to mongoDB as it works much more efficiently for us, it's quicker in most tests and sharding will really help us with site stability. It has been awhile since the last DB dump so I may do a mySQL dump this weekend if I have time but I'm not making any promises.

As for a dump of all images, we don't do that. It would be a huge pain to pack up into a single file, currently images take up 49GiB of space on the server and remember they don't compress. Even if we did it almost nobody would ever use it, a few people might download it but they'd have no use for it. To even relate the images to anything would require use of the DB dump which practically nobody downloads in the first place.

Cool, yeah if you had time to do another dump would be awesome, but I can use the old one for now. Planning some long dev sessions this weekend so as long as I have some data to work with it should be fine :)

And woah ok I didnt think there would be that many image files. I will have a play around tonight, I only really need a single image for each series, but was looking for something a bit less letterbox AR with the series name and probably logo. Thanks for your help though, and let me know if you get a chance to do another dump

Cheers
