Found a thread in the archive, which lists a few aliases of Nat Geo shows. Unfortunately, I cannot reply to an archived thread, so need to open a new one. The old post listed a few aliases:

The Secrest History = History's Secrets = History's Conspiracies
Situation Critical = Critical Situation
Lockdown = America's Hardest Prisons
Earth Investigated = Naked Science

My questions:

1) Is below accurate?

2) How are they being treated on thetvdb.com?

3) If "Earth Investigated" and "Naked Science" are the same show, why does Iceland Volcano eruption is not listed in both? Also, it is spelled wrong currently and would be great if someone can fix this.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I won't work on Naked Science and Earth Investigated until I merge them manually.

Happy to help with merging the 2. Which one would you like to keep? Shall I keep the existing seasons as starting point or should we switch to a by-year logic?

We keep the one with the lowest number and add the other name as an alias. I'd like to switch to by-year, but no need to do so until everything is safely copied over. We do actually have tools to haul episodes around between seasons :)

Sounds great. Let me start then manually copying over the episodes from "Naked Science" into "Earth Investigated". Will take a few hours / days, but understand that I don't need to worry about the season to copy into. I will actually then create a new season, in which I will copy all moved episodes.

Will let you know once I am done... Once done, you would remove all episodes from "Naked Science" and replace the ID by an alias?

Unfortunately, I cannot "migrate" the IMDB number as it will not allow me to assign 2 numbers. Guess I could delete it first, but that takes ages and is messy. Any other approach?

I am done now with the manual part of the merger. I have opened a new thread for the merger effort:
