I applaud our mods for locking stuff that they, or our users, have put a lot of work into. We know from experience that if it's not locked, it WILL get messed up. That's why the new site will automatically lock stuff in certain circumstances. And I actually think a couple of the other mods have more locks than hikaricore.

Well, I lock most of the stuff I work on anymore after having way to many people destroy my work, I actually think I'm near the top of the lock list. But, most people don't care about my shows and also Hikaricore is an easier target :)

I have locked a ton of series, why am I getting no hate? I'll have you know I'm feeling very left out *pout*

Why is all this hate directed at Hikaricore? Without the work of all the admins and mods here, ESPECIALLY Hikaricore, we'd be left with "Wikipedia" for TV show information. (where accuracy takes a backseat to being polite and PC)

My biggest pet peeve is Blanking of episodes, and I purposely am using "BLANKING" literally and as a euphemism.
Hence, I too, lock down things I've corrected / fixed. I'm jealous  Hikaricore gets all the criticism here.

I'm going to come across as incredibly ignorant because I am an incredibly ignorant prick. I read through this thread in complete and utter disgust. I'm now going to proceed to share my opinions as it is my belief that everybody in the world enjoys hearing them. I'd like to bring forth a topic that nobody else has touched on in this thread: Hikaricore, and more specifically, his rudeness towards others. I believe myself to be a member of an elite group of Cyber Police and must outwardly shun anyone for sharing their opinions. I dislike the fact that he makes personal attacks, and for that, I must personally attack him. He is an ass-munching-shit-eating-unicorn-loving-son-of-a-bitch and I find his attitude towards other people on this forum disgraceful. I do not understand the concept of hypocrisy. I have never been outside into this "Real World," but I can guarantee you that it would not be full of people as rude as you. Trust me, I've seen The Office, up to and including Season 08.

All jokes aside...

I joined just now. I've used XBMC, Plex and Sickbeard for ages. I have donated to these groups. I have neglected the fact that TVDB provide these services with all the data that I take for granted. I consider myself an idiot. I also consider you guys to be idiots. Don't shit where you eat. Realistically, if you're an idiot, you deserve to be treated as such. If you don't like it, go away. Nobody wants to hear your opinion, just as much as I know none of you honestly care about mine. You will whine, but at the end of the day you will continue to use one of the many services that access the TVDB regularly. You will criticise one person for making people feel unwelcome in these forums, when in reality, one of the first posts that somebody sees is a post in "General Discussion" (a sensible place for a new person to come) specifically designed to personally attack a particular unnamed (Hikaricore) moderator. Your hypocrisy is showing. And don't go blaming the moderators for stickying the thread either. Then I see "There really isn't much of a community here" being thrown about. How about another definition?

com·mu·ni·ty/kəˈmyo͞onitē/
Noun:
A group of people living together in one place, esp. one practicing common ownership: "a community of nuns".
All the people living in a particular area or place: "local communities".

News flash. You're all responsible for this community. That little bit there that says "A group of people". It doesn't stop there. Just in case that was a bit vague, it goes on to say "All the people". You are all responsible. Frankly, all of you who posted negative things about any of the mods should be ashamed. They don't even get paid to put up with your shit.

Hikaricore, not one of your threads has failed to amuse me in my perusal. I don't understand the problem, other than the fact that it seems a large quantity of people can't comprehend the fact that reality isn't just unicorns and flowers. Szsori, thank you to you and the rest of the team for doing what you're doing.

I feel much better knowing that I've forced my opinions down the throats of other users here. I could have let the thread fade into oblivion, but where's the fun in that? And let me just say, I feel right at home in this thriving community.

Edit: I am the person who donated just now. I apologise for not having donated sooner.

Thanks, syk3d. :) You nailed it in many ways and I wish others saw it the same way. As for hikaricore's love of unicorns, I assure you it pales in comparison to mine.

I'm not asking for recognition. Don't mistake me for a hero. I'm just glad that the issue of greater importance is being addressed here. Unicorns.
