Is there any way to get responses as JSON Objects. XML is probably more human readable, but JSON is smaller (less overhead) and much faster.
I have started to develop a mobile app, and so I would like to get small responses.

If this is not yet possible, is it an option that could be developed soon?

It's not currently supported. I wouldn't expect it soon either.

JSON will be handled by default with XML on the new site's API. No ETA, so just work with the XML right now. Sorry.
