It's great, can't wait for the rest of the season. Someone must have forgot to add it to the site though. I'll do it now.
You're welcome.

Sigh. I woke up to a PM about this. Looks like it's time to prevent users from editing their posts. In summary is this a complaint about derivative artwork (I'm not looking at the images on my iPhone)? I guess the only solution is to remove all of it, but I'm not sure how that serves the best interests of our users. I'd like to point out that dozens of my images have been modified and re-uploaded, in some cases resulting in a better option than the one I provided. I usually take it as a compliment. But if people complain about it we should probably remove the derivative work. :(

I couldn't find season 3 on Archer so I just made a copy of Archer and put season 3 on that.

Yeah? what exactly have I've changed in my original post? I did a SPACE (ENTER) after the last URL. Maybe you finally read it all the way true & that's why you feel... BTW good job with the "title", also would you be so kind to tell me who wrote the rules?

You can feign ignorance all you like, it doesn't really matter to me. Your original post was a bit bitchier than the edited version and everyone who replied before you changed it probably knows what I'm talking about. None the less my point still stands. This is a non issue and a vast waste of time for the moderators having to respond to. Glad you like the title, no idea which rules you're talking about, get over this whole thing and we can all go on about our business.

Well then, tree things.

1. The first post was a little bitchier yes. But it was edited long before anybody relied so...
2. Funny you don't know what rules am talking about you being a moderator and all, no offense.

3. http://www.thetvdb.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Images

Quote:
¤ Please make each banner unique and not simply the same images with different fonts (If clearly similar images are uploaded an admin may choose to delete the superfluous images.

¤ Do not take another artists' banners to alter them slightly then re-upload them. Some artists have spent a good deal of time on the images they upload and it is not acceptable to alter their work without permission

Now don't start spitting fire, I did not make the rules. And in this case, the poster in question had a FOX logo and the Season "stamp" "removed" so clearly, very similar images.
And if it isn't clear still. I don't care if somebody take's my banner and remakes them as long as they are different.

Finally, what's the point of a community if you are not allow to "speak" you guy's jump all over for no real reason. And I'm actually right to express my dislike, if the rules are ment to be followed. I did not make a big thing out of this, you did! I was simply expressing myself isn't that what a community is all about? so stop hammering me when am right :(

You being the site admin, and it seems you don't care about this at all. Should I take this as the rule(s) should/could be ignored or may be removed?

That rule doesn't apply to images of a different format. It's intended to prevent many similar variations of the same image. For example, if you uploaded a poster format and then did the same poster format but just cropped it a little more. Or if someone took your exact image, made some minor changes, and re-uploaded.

The difference in this case is that Imzadi did neither. Your image was NOT used at all. You can tell this if you look at the logo, since it varies from the one you used. They look the same because the source image was the same (everyone can look here for the original: http://www.terranovatv.net/photos/terra ... no-poster/).

More to the point, how would you suggest that this should be handled? Do you want Imzadi's version credited to you even though it isn't derivative of yours? Do you want that version deleted? Should I give Imzadi a spanking (please choose this one...)? You've complained about the rule being broken (even though it hasn't been) and offered no suggestion as to a solution.

No, this situation doesn't bother me at all because 1) it's not a violation of our rules, 2) I think it's misleading to change the tone of your entire post and then send me a PM complaining that people were responding in a harsh manner, and 3) the mods and I have much more important issues to deal with than a non-violation of the rules.

The obvious solution to all of this is to provide a credits section for artwork, which will be done on the new site. If Imzadi was originally inspired by yours then a note saying such could have been included with the image. Same applies to crediting copyright for source materials. In fact, we should probably include the URLs for source artwork (maybe) for copyright concerns anyway.

Hmm what? I did not change the "tone" of my entire post. Please read it. All I edited after I first wrote it, was "I got a little angry" to "I got a little sad" I don't want you todo anything. I simply wanted to know why the "rules" aren't followed. And I never said he took my image. Please read my post. And it was and never will be anything personal with Imzadi. I like that rule ( witch obliviously isn't a real one it turns out) that banners, posters, fan art should be unique.

Hi, I was a little sad when I saw my Banner had been "stolen"

YES, totally idiotic expression by me. But I don't know how else to explain it. And what I mean by it is explain to all that reads the whole post!

You understand, though, that your banner wasn't "stolen", right? And that the rule wouldn't have really applied anyway since they're of different formats. Had Imzadi simply resized your exact copy for use in the season area I would have just changed the credit to you. Since you don't want anything to be done about this and since I don't think there was a rules violation in any way, is it ok if we drop this?
