There should be a way to add alias TvShow names to an existing TvShow.

I noticed that the "Mike And Molly" and "Mike & Molly" are two different entries but both leads to the same show ID.

Is there a way to do the same with "Last Man Standing (US)" and "Last Man Standing US" linking to "Last Man Standing (2011)" ?

Us mods can already add aliases for shows if requested. However they aren't currently used by the api. If there are any yet want added, post them in the series request forum with a link to the series and we'll take a look

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes, but you're much better off doing what you want somewhere else, because it won't work like you expect.

Keep an eye on this one.. keeps adding duplicate series to the site then asking for them to be "merged".

Hey dude, that's a little mean! I GOT IT; NO DUPLICATES SHOWS!!!

Maybe you should write it clearly somewhere that we need to *ask you via the forum to manually add aliases*! Any user's reflex is to test and add a new show hoping to have a way to link it to anoher show! I personally thought there would be a field named like "Show Reference ID" where I could put the id on the original show. Hope there will be something like that in the soon to come new site.

I would also like to request that API support is added for Aliases.

I have lots of shows that my XBMC does not find because of naming conventions... and I keep having to rename them manually.

For example:

Franklin and Bash
Sullivan and Son
Melissa and Joey
(maybe the API should also check for both "&" and "and").

Also shows with "US" like:

Big Brother US
