Firstly, I'm new here and I love this site, and I have a few feature ideas.

1. Have set pages on the site for Top Rated Shows/Bottom Rated Show etc.
Only include those with more than a few ratings etc.

1.5."If you like these, you might like these" style links for people with favourites/ratings in their accounts.
e.g. I rate some Monty Python and some Blackadder highly, TheTVDB recommends some Fawlty Towers (but all worked out on who rated what highly and genre etc.)

2. Make ratings more than stars from 10
Including short reviews from registered users would be cool and useful for discovering new series. Kinda like Amazon Shopping pages.

3. Maybe allow a way for login and review/rate via API
e.g. from within XBMC I could rate an episode of Sports Night when I finished watching it, or review a series from inside an application
(I know this requires back end and front end (i.e. new features in XBMC as well but a guy can dream)
I think this feature would mean many more reviews for each episode and series which can only be good.

EDIT: Checked docu more thoroughly and point 3. is possible already, just not implemented in an easy way in XBMC

1. Planned.
2. Probably not planned. I may even be reducing the stars to a simple thumbs up or down, Reddit style. 10 stars tends to not work as well as a simple like/dislike or 5 stars, since everyone tends to vote either 1 star, 5, or 10. I've read some case studies from other sites on the matter.
3. Planned.

I like the thumbs up thumbs down approach. Although I kind of do like the idea of a meh category.

I have a modeling photography site I did with my boss. In our administrative tools we can adjust the automatic calculation that determines picture of the day, since some of them are horrible. Our tools are named "minor bump", "major bump", and "crap all over it". :)

Maybe I'm one of the only ones who would use a five star, but it's so useful. Trakt has an awesome or shite approach and it just puts me off voting. Even with a 'meh' catagory there isn't enough choice. The difference between 'meh' and 'awesome' is such a huge chasm. There's a bunch of stuff I like, but not love. Then again, this might just be me. I do various end of year lists and rate everything I listen to and watch on a scale of 1 to 10, using decimal places :s
I'd be fine with downgrading to 5 from 10, but any lower and it's not really a rating, just a knee jerk reaction.

I'm the same I guess. I "like" a lot of things but not always enough to click love or thumbs up or whatever it is. Generally I only click those if I realy liked/loved something, meaning stuff I just liked or thought "meh" about won't get a rating from me at all.
