The rules state: "We are to providing (sic) the most updated, sensible and accurate TV information to ALL users to access us online and via their HTPC software."

They go on to state: "DVD Extras are not allowed... They are simply useless and have no business in the database."

I like extras. I don't think they're useless, and don't think I'm alone here. I'd like to access them through my HTPC, and I would think they'd have a place on a site that claims to be a database for ALL HTPC users. Those who don't care about them are not affected by them being in the database. No other information will have to be removed to make space for them. There's even section already available for adding special content such as extras.

I could go on, but having poked around the forums a bit, it's clear that the admins are idiotic douchbags who only care about what they think is important, so it's not like this is going to change anyway.

So to avoid wasting any more time, let me summarize: Fuck you and your rules.

Please kill yourself.

I understand the rules say no DVD extras. I'd appreciate if this rule gets looked at again when the new site is up, since as is my understanding, the new site have many new things that will allow customization beyond what currently exists.



Now I'm not saying hikaricore would have said yes (he's a bit of a dick, but then.. so am I, and we can always recognize out own) but at least then you would have put the idea in a few staff members heads in a positive way, rather than acting like a jackass and making the idea seem like something from a fucking moron.


Me and hikaricore disagree on quite a bit (and are in the midst of one technically), but you won't win it by being an idiot. Give some fucking facts, or go the fuck away and use a different indexing site.

In my searching the forums for the explanation why DVD extras are arbitrarily not allowed I found many posts like that questioning this rule. I also found posts by admins taking pleasure in removing dvd extras. So I quickly realized the admins are gonna do whatever the fuck they wanna do. I merely came here to vent, not try to convince them of anything.

The fact that I was ip banned within two minutes of the post for (god forbid) insulting the admins, and the fact that in your criticism of my post you don't disagree only further proves the point. I'm actually in shock this thread hasn't been deleted yet.

And yeah, I will be scouring the net for a different site.

1- Never said I do disagree with your point, but I certainly understand the reasoning behind not having it. It'd be a damn mess with the way the current setup is. I won't speak for the staff, but I certainly wouldn't want to see extras cluttering up the Specials/Season 0 category, and the few times I do see it there it annoys the crap out of me, because it gums up the placement of specials. If there was an actual placement specifically for extras (such as a season 99) then yeah, I could see it, but then at that point there is still the question of what is an extra, and how the hell that is supposed to be modded, it turns into a clusterfuck.

2- Or you know, go make your own.

3- If he wants to ban me, he will ban me, nothing I can do about it one way or the other. I post on the forums to help improve the database. Whether it means I'm agreeing with the staff or arguing with them, I do it to try and make the site better. If I'm going to get banned, at least I know I got banned while showing some class. Try it out sometime.
