We are going to be moving our servers to another DataCenter. Will be with the same ISP and the IP won't be changing.

It is going to take some time to copy the data, as it has to move to a new VMWare cluster.

So the current plan is tomorrow morning the site will come down for 15-20 minutes, while we make clean local copies of the data.
We will then bring the site up, and begin copying data over the WAN to the new location. This could take a number of hours.

During this time the site will be up, however any show adds or deletes will be lost.

Once the copy is done we will shutdown the current servers and power up the copy from earlier at the new data center and you will be able to update content again.

While this isn't an ideal plan, it does allow set top boxes to continue to pull content while we are migrating data.

Not sure what time I am going to start tomorrow morning, but probably around 8-9am PST.

Snapshot of volumes is done, and site is back up with a message about Read only mode.

Since we don't have a read only mode if you make changes between now and when the work is done they will not be saved.

Ok taking the message down. Site is now up and running in the new location.

You can EDIT DATA again!!!
I need to do a few reboots to the firewall and servers over the next 2-3 hours so there could be short outages.

haha np... I didn't get to the firewall, and need to do some family stuff. I will get to that this week. Site Admins might not be able to get into the server right now So txt me if something needs to happen.
