I'm really into Science Fiction and have watched every decent show I can in this Genre and I'm really staring to scrape the barrel with some of the crap I'm watching at the moment, just cos it's ScI-Fi (e.g. Andromeda). Is there any good anime you can suggest so I can keep my Sci-Fi fix going?

Eureka Seven would be an excellent place to start. The series not the horrible abomination of a movie.
Mind you I'm not really a fan of mecha type anime, but this series keeps the balance between human and machine well imho.

Cheers, I'll check that one out. I'm more into stuff that is set in space à la Star Trek, Babylon 5, Battlestar etc. Any suggestions along these lines? Thanks.

Good space anime are sort of hard to come by tbh.

More common are anime involving beings from space which have come to earth or some other planet or people from earth ending up on other worlds or living with aliens on some world: Birdy The Mighty Decode, Mars Daybreak, The Third, anything from the Tenchi series, etc. I can list more of this type but I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for and pretty soon we'll start crossing into boring mecha titles. :p

As far as actual space anime go, I assume you've probably already seen Cowboy Beebop? Planetes is decent, but not great and I heard Legend of the Galactic Heroes is good but not had a chance to watch it myself. I heard mixed reviews about Tytania but found it to be fairly boring.

I consider Irresponsible Captain Tylor to be a very well made sci-fi comedy series, not sure if you're into comedy though. Outlaw Star is one of my favorites, good characters, good storyline, serious when it needs to be, lighthearted when it doesn't.

Edit: I can't beleave I forgot Super Dimension Century Orguss, Genesis Climber MOSPEADA, and The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. They are all from the 80's era, but all have great sci-fi storylines.

Yeah definitely give Cowboy Bebop a go. One of my first proper series that was and still one of the best in my eyes.

Cowboy Bebop... the only anime I've been able to stand more than an episode of. Other than Sailor Moon, of course.
